Sequals Course

In our project application we wrote that visiting the Comenius course SEQUALS (Supporting Evaluation of Quality and Learning of Schools) should be part of our project preparation.

A colleague of the coordinating school had the chance to participate. It was very inspiring to join this well organised course in March 2003.

What can we get out of this course?

  • The SEQUALS book. This publication is the result of the cooperation of 11 educational institutions in seven European countries. It offers lots of evaluation tools, examples of good practise and the European trends in the field of school-based evaluation.
  • Strategies to start school development processes.
  • Strategies to run European projects.
  • Contacts to European teachers and schools that are interested in self-evaluation.
  • Possibility of joining a European network (internal-external evaluation) which was founded during the course.

The most important outcome: we met Liisa Kauraniemi the international coordinator from Rovaniemi and so we won the fifth partner school of the SEFES project.
