This evaluation method means that a teacher attends the lesson of a colleague, usually paying attention to a special issue. Afterwards the colleague gives a feedback of what he/she has observed and it enables both partners to reflect upon their teaching. In the SEFES-group various possibilities have been tried out:

  • both partners teach the same/different subjects
  • both partners are acquainted with the class/only the teacher knows it
  • focussing on the behaviour of the teacher/the students/on teaching methods etc.
